The Institute of English Cultures and Literatures, in partnership with the Centre for the Study of Minor Cultures, is happy to invite you to a Northern Ireland Seminar to be held on March 7, 2018 at 10:00 am. Venue: Faculty of Philology, University of Silesia, Sosnowiec, ul. Gen. Grota-Roweckiego 5, room 2.18.
The seminar will be concerned with contemporary Northern Ireland – its culture, recent history, politics and literary representations of the Troubles (as well as the post-conflict period). The speakers will include: Frank Ferguson, Wesley Hutchinson, Patrick Quigley, Michaela Markova, Katarzyna Bazarnik, Katarzyna Ojrzyńska, Michał Lachman, Jacek Mydla i Leszek Drong. An open discussion is planned at the conclusion of the seminar.
