The list of topics includes but is by no means limited to humor in:
- literature and translation
- discourse analysis
- linguistics
- media
- methodology
- culture and cognition
(other humor-related contributions are also welcome)
We will listen, discuss, and work together to establish a wider framework for some problematic issues, encourage debate, and answer burning questions with a view to improving academic research work. The seminar aims to bring together students and young academics in various fields of research in order to exchange views on the aspects of humor in language studies.
Each presenter will be given 20 minutes (plus 10 minutes for discussion).
The seminar languages are English and Polish.
There is NO seminar fee!
Coffee breaks included, yet no accommodation or meals provided.

Our translation workshop focused on humor will be run by dr Marta Mamet-Michalkiewicz.
