Selma. Film screening and a discussion moderated by Persia Walker

Department of American and Canadian Studies, Institute of English Cultures and Literatures, has the pleasure to invite all interested students and staff to a film show and a discussion with Persia Walker. The meeting will take place on February 24th, 2017.

Persia-Walker2Born in New York, Persia Walker earned her Master’s degree at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism and has been involved in politics, education, and cultural reporting since the start of her professional career. After much work and experience, she now works as a US diplomat in Poland. Her background in comparative religion and black anthropology coupled with her skills as a journalist have given Ms. Walker a powerful and compelling voice concerning human rights topics. Persia Walker is also the author of Black Orchid Blues, Harlem Redux, The Blue Religion and Dark Tales.
